The date is set for the first ever Rico Racing Downhill Event,On the weekend of October 1st and we will be bringing you a brand new race,on a brand new track…

The Racing will be taking place on Saturday the 1st of October,it will consist of morning practice,followed by two race runs.Three Categories will be available for participants.

Juniors 16 and under

Elite      17 t0 30

Vets      30 and up

This format was made to give younger riders a chance to show there up and coming talent,to push the Elites harder and to create some good racing for the “vets”.

Sunday will be a fun day of riding where riders will be able to ride both Rico Racing Tracks From 10:00 AM till 4:00 PM Shuttles will be provided.

Rockstar Energy Drink has picked up BMX racers Dean Holdstock and Teagan O’Keeffe…

Holdstock who was the local 2009 Grand Nationals champ competing in the Elite class is on board with Rockstar for 2010. Joining him is Womans Junior Elite rider Teagan O’Keeffe representing the ladies. Both riders have just returned from the Olympic Training Centre in the USA where they completed their base training. Teagan leaves in a weeks time to spend the next 4 months training in Switzerland and will return for BMX Worlds which will be held in Pietermaritzburg this year.
