In early 2012 Pierre-Edouard Ferry joined Commencal’s Super Riders. He is a great addition to our roster, especially on bikes feedback. He came to visit us in Andorra for the first time last September and it was a great opportunity for us to play Q&A with him and know more about his perception of bikes, Andorra, and his love for mechanics. This webisode is also our way to welcome him in our family.

The 4th opus of COMMENCAL Insiders takes you to Austria to meet ALPINE COMMENCAL. This webisode unveils what started as a marketing operation morphed into a wonderful adventure, giving the opportunity to talented young Austrian riders to race DH World Cups. Even though this is a small team, budget wise, compared to the big guns on the circuit, friendship and passion among this group allow this adventure to keep on going at the highest level. Beyond its competitive side, the team is also a major player in the development of MTB in Austria, which is more known for its Alpine ski.

Thursday, November 10th, 2011In an interview about the Athertons with VeloVert magazine, Max Commencal acknowledged that the Atherton’s contract had ended, stating, “They had the opportunity to go into a large structure, which is perfectly understandable. I remember especially the fantastic five years we spent together with two world titles and two World Cups.” Nothing has been formally announced, but it is rumored that the Athertons will join GT for 2012. Max also stated that Commencal will still have a team present in the World Cup pits in 2012. That team has yet to be announced.
