Situation normal all fired up on the new Towatay stem from Snafu…

McGoo has been busy working on some more MTB product over at Snafu with a new stem. Graciously lifted directly from Snafu:

“Erik at Bulletproof Designs has wrapped up his tweaks to our new Towatay MTB stem. Mods are visible on the solidworks drawings in this slideshow, and include a new shorter 45mm reach, 45mm wide front clamp cross-section, 144g total body weight (excluding hardware, including 25.4mm bar ships) and more chamfered and cambered edge cuts to reduce weight. This stem will fit new-school 31.8mm OD MTB handlebars (like our 4130 MTB bar) and 25.4mm OD freeride bars with the supplied CNC-machined alloy shims. Erik’s been testing the first generation prototype on his Haro Steel Reserve for a month, and it works awesome. The new stem looks even better, and should be available through SNAFU retailers and distributors by late Summer.”
