Gauteng DH update

We received this update from Francois with regards to the season ending race and function, as well as some news regarding a 4X track for the new year.
Hi everyone,
So our final serious event for the year will be held on 24 and 25 October at the Helderkruin track. It promises to be an eventful two days as Saturday is the official practice day with Sunday as last minute practice and seeding runs.
Each rider will get at least two practice runs on Sunday and a seeding / qualifying run, where after one single run will win you the provincial championship title. That’s right folks, two days of shuttled practice and one shot to be number 1.
The course will be a combination of old and new tracks, with the finish at the ‘old’ finish with the steep drop. So come along this coming Saturday 17-10-09 to have a look at the track we will be using. Myself and Marnus will be on the mountain from around 10:00 am this Saturday to do some touch-ups. Anyone willing to offer at least an hour of their time for maintenance will get free race entry on race weekend.
This event will have nothing to do with the points for the previous races since the Klapperkop national and the points will add up to your 2009 Cup points.
It’s 99% confirmed that Redbull will help sponsor the event and there will once again be coffees, cold drinks and smoothies from Caffe Pronto.
Just in closing: I can confirm that there will be a definite 4x track for the 2010 race season. I have confirmed with the owner of Teak Place, outside Muldersdrift that we are allowed to build a top notch 4x track. So watch this space.
Hope to see you all at the end of the month.
