Chain-less and cheerful fun race
With all of the racing seasons across the country drawing to a close, a suggestion was made for a fun race with and edge, a race in a funny outfit without a chain. The result was hilarious and a fun day was had by everyone…
Riders arrived in bunny outfits, bubble wrap, ballerina tutus, wrestling outfits and all manner of clothing one would never think of bringing to a DH event. And with no chains to power the drive train it was all down to maximising every pump, jump and roll to gain and maintain as much speed as possible. With the smallest reduction in speed it meant that this was as fierce a race as any in order to not loose any time unless it was absolutely necessary.
Team Mongoose showed just why they are going to be the top team in Gauteng for the 2012 season by clinching first, second and third positions on the day.
